AdminHistorySometime around 1871 George Flower established a brewery at Springhead, Fontmell Magna. Following his death in 1879 his son John Walter Flower took over as manager and went into partnership with Robert Cousins. In 1895 an engineering section was established and Flower soon sold off his brewery interest. Around this time he also set up some projects in London, which included an office in Queen Victoria Street. This was used by Cousins for promotional work. The London works and office appear to have been closed by 1906. In that year the works moved to Wimborne. J W Flower died in 1941. A few years later his sons sold the firm which was later bought by G.E.C. In 1966, after some failed schemes, the Receiver was called in and the works closed..
