Promises Colfox a copy of the 'next communication' from Bogota, and says he cannot tell what has delayed the 'Buenos Ayres' which appears to be the name of the packet. Follows with discussion of Colombian affairs taken from The Times of 2nd October. Mentions the war on Peru under the command of General Paez.
